THE WHAT? Isdin has confirmed that Marian Puig has stepped down as chairman of its board after a decade in the role and 25 years with the Spanish dermatology and photoprotection specialist.

THE DETAILS ​​A member of the Puig family, Puig joined Isdin in 2002 as CEO, leading its international expansion before progressively stepping back from executive duties in recent years. The board will begin an orderly succession process to appoint a new chair, while Puig assumes the role of honorary chairman. Juan Naya will continue as CEO, a position he has held since 2015. Founded in 1975 and jointly owned by Puig and Esteve Laboratories, Isdin operates in 65 countries with subsidiaries in 14 markets and employs around 1,700 people. The company reported turnover of €642 million in FY2024, up 13% year on year, with profit rising 32% to €66 million.

THE WHY? The leadership transition marks a generational shift at Isdin as the company seeks continuity at CEO level while preparing for its next phase of growth following sustained international and financial expansion.
