THE WHAT? L’Oréal Groupe has unveiled two new beauty tech innovations at CES 2026, introducing infrared light-based technologies for hair styling and skincare.

THE DETAILS Both the Light Straight + Multi-styler and the LED Face Mask were named CES 2026 Innovation Award Honorees. The Light Straight + Multi-styler uses infrared light to style hair at lower temperatures than traditional tools, aiming to reduce heat-related damage while maintaining performance.

The LED Face Mask, currently in prototype form, delivers red and near-infrared light through a flexible silicone design to target visible signs of skin ageing. L’Oréal said the device is designed for short, automated treatments and is under development in collaboration with LED technology specialists.

THE WHY? The innovations underscore L’Oréal’s strategy to integrate advanced science and consumer technology into beauty routines, as demand grows for high-performance, device-led solutions in haircare and skincare. The CES recognition highlights the accelerating convergence of beauty, wellness and consumer electronics.
