THE WHAT? Gerrard International has acquired professional nail brand Jessica Cosmetics after more than three decades serving as its UK distributor.
THE DETAILS Gerrard International, based in Hertfordshire, has managed Jessica Cosmetics’ UK business for 35 years, during which the market became the brand’s most commercially successful territory. The acquisition follows the passing of Jessica Cosmetics founder Jessica Vartoughian in April 2025.
Jessica Cosmetics was founded in 1978 and is known for a treatment-led nail system. Its portfolio includes natural nail treatments, more than 250 Custom Nail Colours, Phēnom Vivid Colour, GELeration Soak-Off Gel Polishes and the ZenSpa Pedicure range. The brand is distributed in over 60 countries.
Statements from family members and the Gerrard International leadership acknowledge the long-standing relationship between the companies and confirm the transfer of ownership. With Jessica Cosmetics now under Gerrard International, the business adds the brand to a portfolio that also includes Mii.
THE WHY? The acquisition provides a formal ownership transition for Jessica Cosmetics following the founder’s death and moves the brand fully under the company that has managed its UK operations for 35 years.
